The Restaurant
The restaurant's superb food is one of the main reasons for the inn's
popularity. Customers travel from miles around to enjoy lunch or dinner
at the Thelbridge. The daily changing menu offers a wide and varied choice of dishes,
home cooked using fresh ingredients by chef patronne Ria Ball and her
team. A number of the ingredients used are home-grown in the inn's vegetable
garden by Bill's father, Bill ("Grandad") Senior.
There are three separate dining areas, two of which are non-smoking,
offering diners a choice of atmosphere according to their personal preference
and type of occasion.
In the seventeen years that the Ball's have been at the Thelbridge, the
food has obtained innumerable accolades including from Egon Ronay, Michelin,
Les Routiers, Which?, the Good Pub Guide, and Pub Food Magazine.
